Leveraging on the infrastructure of the established UMS and BBF grocery model, our business will enter the hardware industry, offering similar value to hardware members that has been created for the grocery division.
Each region will house a business development manager (BDM) covering an area of 20 members.
The BDM will report directly to the national office, but will have an indirect reporting line to the GM of each region in terms of day to day activities. A national centralised customer relations office team will be based at head office level and will solicit sales telephonically from the membership base, communicate deals, and place orders.

Trading terms will be negotiated by the central office, applicable to both the UMS & BBF payment models. It is expected that the UMS model may benefit from additional administration allowances to cover the cost of the infrastructure offering this service.
The national buying office will be located in Johannesburg and will be available to members for the negotiation of member specific deals, as well as regional and national promotions.

The flexibility of centralised accounts and decentralised accounts will be offered to our hardware partners (both suppliers and members).
The needs of each member and supplier will be assessed to determine which method of payment would better suit their businesses. UMS utilise a custom developed SAP system within its accounts department which has benefits to both members and suppliers and creates efficiency for those partners that have sophisticated compatible hardware
